An exercise in violence
Sweeper Slashton was waiting for a foe. Noone in particular, just the first unfortunate person to stumble across the tall grass field near a cobblestone road. It was a countryside location with a small farm in the distance, almost a quarter of the mile away. The wind breezed slightly and the air was moist. Sweeper Slashton stood at the edge of the grasses tapping his foot. He thought time would pass faster if he was doing something meaningful so he drew his blade. The grass was too tall for his tastes and he was bored. Sweeper slashed at each blade of grass, one by one. Swish, swing, chop, and minutes later a small pile of grass lay at Sweeper's feet. He sheathed his sword with a sorrowful, swift singular motion. "Gee, it sure gets boring around here..."

Re: An exercise in violence
Kashikoi was jogging down the cobblestone road, doing his daily run, when he caught site of a stranger. Kashikoi didn't like the look of the guy, so he sped up slightly; hoping to avoid the stranger. He did prepare himself for a fight. His Taijutsu had not done him wrong yet and hopefully it would not do him wrong now either.
Re: An Exercise in Violence
"Oi!" Sweeper Slashton called out to the running man. "Stop!" He had no reason to engage the man, and normally wouldn't. However, Sweeper noticed the man was jogging. Sweeper hated joggers on sheer impulse. "I have some bad news!" Sweeper was worried about the situation as he appeared suspiscious. He was suspicious, but Sweeper wished to appear respectable. "I need to fight you!" Sweeper's face paled. Was he coming off as stupid? He was coming off as stupid... no, he was just stupid. He reached for his sword and declared proudly, "I need to defeat you!" He shouldn't have said it proudly.

Re: An exercise in violence
Kashikoi at first ignored the man, until he presented a challenge. KAshikoi felt that he could not turndown a challenge to his abilities. He would just have to end the fight quickly. He did not waste any time getting the fight started. He chose to switch to the earth element. "Might of the Mountains." Kashikoi began to run, and he jumped up just before he had reached Sweeper. Kashikoi could already see the attack in his head; A leaping 720 butterfly kick with two hits. The first kick has little force behind it, but the second is strong enough to kick through a wall. It sends the foe flying back.
Re: An Exercise in Violence
In a split second, a fight had started. A large man jumped at Sweeper, preparing for an attack. While there was no doubt his opponent's attack was devestating, it left him open. "Shindou Dageki Kizu!" Sweeper yelled after swinging his sword. The underhanded slash toward the flying man's chin was a move that required perfect timing and was performed on a split second. Sweeper felt a joyous sensation from the challenge presented. However, he was unsure whether or not this battle would provide the challenge he desired. He pulled out of his thoughts and returned to the battlefield.
"So......... What is your name?" Sweeper pondered aloud.

Re: An exercise in violence
Kashikoi managed to twist his body around the blade, successfully avoiding the strike, but ending his attack. He decided that it had been a stupid move to rush into the fight like that. He took up the praying mantis stance, a stance he preferred to play defensive with; using the opponent's attacks to find openings. He was of course a true master of the art, and many others, so he doubted that this man would stand a chance. "Kahikoi." was his only response to the man's question.
Re: An Exercise in Violence
"Kashikoi?" Sweeper was confused. That mattered not, however. He was going to attack with a fire jutsu, but had to process the information for a second. The name was familiar, but he did not care. "Katon: hibashiri!" Sweeper shrieked and a ring of flame bolted to the ground. His opponent was clearly a physical fighter, but he doubted Kashikoi could close the range if he barraged him with flame. The blazing circle chased towards Kashikoi eagerly, as if it were a pouncing tiger.

Re: An exercise in violence
Kashikoi easily dodged to the side of the attack. "Impact Punch!" Kashikoi slammed his fist into the ground. Then spike of earth shot up out of the earth, shooting up at extreme speeds and traveling to Sweeper at immense speed. The spikes of earth were sharp as daggers and would pierce right through bone and flesh.
Re: An Exercise in Violence
"Shunshin no jutsu!" Sweeper shouted, and charged diagonally, narrowly avoiding the spikes. Sweeper was in a tough position now; Kashikoi could obviously attack from far away and would dominate the hand to hand spectrum of fighting. The only viable strategy was to keep him barely in reach of the blade. He rushed forward with his sword dragging behind him. "You might be harder to fight..." Sweeper muttered.
